Watch Care Tips

One of the most important features of a waterproof wrist watch is the winding crown mechanism. The parts in the mechanism are precisely fitted and have been carefully examined or replaced during the service process. Whenever you open your crown, it is important to remember to re-tighten it after setting the watch. If you fail to do this your watch may be damaged by water entering the case.

If your watch is fitted with a bracelet it should be adjusted correctly to your wrist. Furthermore, it should be cleaned regularly to prevent a build up of dirt and grime, which accelerates wear if not removed.

If your watch is equipped with an automatic winding mechanism (perpetual) it must be wound by hand before wearing it if it has been off your wrist long enough to stop running. To manually wind your watch unscrew the crown and turn it approximately 15 to 20 times. Be sure the crown is re-tightened before wearing the watch.
